While this is true , Mariott Hotels has been continually optimistic about the company's future. In the second quarter of 2021 Mariottt Hotels reported an income of 422 million dollars , compared to  net loss of 234 million earlier year.   After the pandemic most experts claim that there will be hike of travel and leisure demand some calling it "Revenge Travel" and this is a reason for hoteliers to experience demands of pre-covid levels.
