Gold Coast of Queensland is known for it's magnifient beaches and a golden oppurtunity of surfers and tourist alike.
This marvellous coastline strethcing 66km (41mi) contains a lucky population of about 600,000.
Prior to European settlement the area was occupied by the Yugambeh people. The demonym for the Gold Coast is Gold Coaster.
The Gold Coast is a major tourist destination in South Australia with a sub-tropical climate and calming beaches. This "Surfers Paradise" is also dominated with high rise buildings , theme parks , nightlife and Rain forest Hinderland.
This wonderful city consists of 70 kilometres (43 mi) of coastline, with some of the popular surf breaks in Australia and the world, this includes South Stradbroke Island, The Spit, Main Beach, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Mermaid Beach, Nobby's Beach, Miami, North Burleigh Beach, Burleigh Beach, Burleigh Heads, Tallebudgera Beach, Palm Beach, South Palm Beach, Currumbin Beach, Tugun, Bilinga, North Kirra Beach Kirra, Coolangatta, Greenmount, Rainbow Bay, Snapper Rocks and Froggies Beach.
The Gold Coast exhibit a humid subtropical climate (Köppen climate classification Cfa/Cwa) with mild to warm winters andhot humid summers.
